"This was such a great book!
I adored the people in this one.
Alexis was an absolutely FABULOUS main character. Smart and strong - every time she came into the chapter, I was grinning like no tomorrow.
Aidan definitely felt a little too strong and smug in the beginning for my taste (just too aware of the "affect he has on women") but after a few chapters he grew on me.
I loved that they both dealt with "real" issues in this book - Alexis still felt the pain of being a widow and Aidan never fully recovered from his terrible childhood.
Watching them deal with their issues and grow from them really made this book feel real to me.
The cat-and-mouse game between Alexis and Aidan completely cinched the book for me. It was hilarious and brilliant and just so fun to read."

I was in a bit of a quandary with this book as I dislike books that start at point A, take the readers in a huge circle to end up back at point A with little of the original conflict as presented in the first chapter resolved. Not my thing at all, but I would be
unfair if I let that colour my appraisal as this is a well-written story with two very engaging lead characters.

Great story. Not a fan of too much romance and the scenes, but this book is an exception. ... Where's Part 2?!
I IMMEDIATELY tried to buy the sequel, but ALAS . . . So I bought The Amped Series Book One. Sped through it. I've found a new favorite author. This is the FIRST time I haven't said that there were some uncaught typos, some formatting issues. I WILL be recommending YOU to several people. Please, write ON!!

The chemistry between the two self-described nerds, Pam and Daryl, is strong, beginning with a happenstance first meeting. Fate continues for these two in the romantic novel, Flux: Pam & Oates Part One, written by M. J. Woods.
This story is a modern-day romance, including text messages, emails, and current slang. The geographic settings also add flavors of today’s world – the high-tech world of northern California, aspects of Canadian life and opportunities in large, East Coast cities.
The story flows smoothly as the chapters alternate between the voices of Pam and Daryl. Author M. J. Woods has crafted a well-written, new romantic series in Flux: Pam & Oates Part One. It will be interesting to see what happens to Pam and Daryl next!

MJ writes so well you feel like a peeper eavesdropping on the couple. She drops a couple of carefully placed curves, and a solid backstory in place. Her writing is stellar, the perfect description of the island and house that made me feel like I was there.

I'm so mad cuz it's over! I even waited a day before finishing the last chapter to prolong the ending. This book was soooo good! It has a great build up and puts you right there on the St. Lawrence River. The author paints an amazing picture you can see and feel.
