M.J. Woods lives in Central New York with her children and her newest canine sidekick, a 35-pound Sheepdog mix named Teddy Bear. For over 25 years, her days were spent working in the legal field of a small town. Now, motivated by coffee and music, M.J. writes romance drawing inspiration from her work, the Central New York landscape, or random stimulus (magazine articles, current events or people-watching).
In 2018, her first novel "Balance" earned two awards and glowing reviews from Foreword Clarion and Readers' Favorite.
